The South Hampton
Council on Aging’s purpose is to enhance the well-being of those over 65 years
of age and others with related needs. The COA is both a Town Board and a
non-profit registered with the State. The COA members are volunteers. All
residents of South Hampton are welcome to participate in COA meetings and
events. The COA has recently offered the following services and activities:
Call
list of residents who may need extra assistance, coordinated with the fire and
police departments
Mailbox
indicators (that show residents that their mail has arrived)
Emergency
Response Systems (Lifelines) for residents who meet certain qualifications
Balances
Classes
Annual spring and fall luncheons for seniors to
socialize and enjoy soups, salad, sandwiches, pie and beverages
The Council on Aging urges all residents, young and
“not-so-young,” to join them in volunteering to promote the health and well-being
of South Hampton residents.
